Stupid Tumblr didn’t post this when it should have and I have just found it in Drafts! Grrrr!
But here goes:
This is very me.
It would have to be this lady. Idina Menzel.
She is one of my idols. Not only was she in RENT, the first ever to play Maureen Johnson, but she sculpted one of the my favourite roles - Elphaba in Wicked. She’s been in Glee - her remix of Pokerface with Lea Michele was amazing.
She was also in Disney’s Enchanted (I bloody love Disney).
She’s fearless, talented, married to Taye Diggs (who is bloody gorgeous) and I just love her voice.
The runners up include Beyonce (need I explain?), Lady Gaga (for the crazy life and the outfits and to see if she does have a willy or not…) and Lea Salonga, for reasons much the same as Idina.
Happy - Always Be My Baby - Mariah Carey. I just love this song.
Sad - One Day More - Les Miserables. It just reminds me to stop wallowing.
Bored - Anything. Sorts out the boredom doesn’t it?
Hyped -Out Tonight - RENT. I love to sing this and pretend I’m Mimi.
Mad - Defying Gravity - Wicked. It’s just a kick-ass, screw you, sort of song.
I don’t have many hobbies to be honest.
I do have two that I can’t choose between.
One is reading. Hence why some call me Belle. Seriously the way I read you can definately call it a hobby.
I am currently reading Sushi for Beginners by Marian Keys. I buy books in bulk from charity shops and stalls. Mainly because I read too many to buy them first hand and secondly because I like to think my addiction is helping someone else other than me. I often donate books to family, friends and back to the shops agai so thy can be re-sold.
My other hobby is musical theatre. I have performed in lots of musicals and showcases.

I would love to do RENT, Wicked and Les Mis again. Only time will tell. :)

I guess it would have to be singing.
Now before you recoil in horror, I’m not one of those X-Factor wannabes who think they are as good as Mariah or Whitney.
I love Mariah and Whitney, don’t get me wrong and I will happily sing their power ballads day after day, but I’m more of a musical theatre lass.
My roles have include Yum-Yum in Hot Mikado and Laurey in Oklahoma! My dream role would be to play Eponine in Les Miserables, or perhaps Mimi in RENT.
If I had to liken my voice to someone it would be Lea Salonga, or so I’m told. But then again I do have quite a soulsy voice. Who knows.
I am constantly singing. Witnesses include…just about everybody. I have a sneaky suspicion that my colleagues would like to put a cork in my gob, but until then, sing I shall!
As I am not a self-obsessed exhibitionist, there are no links or songs I can share with you. I do have lots of recordings of my shows at home but none I will be sharing on here!
In the meantime, have a listen to a young Lea Salonga’s Miss Saigon audition. She’s amazing.
